Steve Grimes is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and a Registered Building Practitioner (No. QS-1008) and has over 35 years experience in the Quantity Surveying profession.

During that time he has established himself at the forefront of Quantity Surveying, providing Cost Planning services on a wide range of projects for both public and private clients.

In 2003, Steve was awarded the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors Victorian Chapter President's Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Promotion of the Profession for his work in Environmentally Sustainable Design.

Steve Grimes has written and presented a number of papers on various issues relating to ESD and health projects. Some of these include:

• VAHEC Seminar - ‘Getting More Bang for Your Buck - The Cost of Aged Care'
• AGSA & ANHECA National Aged Care Building and Design Conference - ‘Environmentally Sustainable Design in Aged Care'

Steve also prepared and presented the AIQS document ‘Evaluation of Sustainable Development' at a nation-wide series of seminars, as co-author of the QS Energy Reference for the Sustainable Energy Authority Victoria (SEAV).
